DLW Educare Overview
DLW Educare was founded with meeting children's needs in mind, whatever those might be. So, the first step in engaging with DLW Educare is establishing the specific support you want. Get in touch and we can discuss what is working for you and what you need support with.
Working with DLW Educare means having a commited and consistent service that is tailored towards the needs of the young person/people and constructed in liaison with the team of professionals and/or family who take responsibility for their welfare. However, the constraints of such dedicated support mean only a limited number of clients can access our services at any given time. For more detail on availability please get in touch!
About Me
A short while after I was born my father began his career working with children. I grew up attending the playschemes and community events he contributed to, unconsciously absorbing good practice from him and his colleagues. Once I was old enough (2009) I began my own career working alongside him supporting differently abled children in my local community and since then I have never looked back.
My personal and professional lives have both proven how important the community of people who contribute to a child's development are. And, because of how interwoven they are, my work is deeply personal to me and I strive to give and be my very best at all times. For more detailed information about my experiences and qualifications or my approach to supporting education get in touch today.
Education
2017-2018
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
UEL
Qualifying as a Primary Teacher allowed me to learn a great deal about planning and implementing a unique curriculum as much evaluating how successfully it is being employed. Having learnt the theoretical underpinning of why and how we teach certain things and in certain ways gives me the confidence to apply first-hand experience and principles of metacognition in tandem.
2014-2017
Working with Children: Education and Well-being (B. Ed. Hons.)
UCL
Studying for my undergraduate degree part time whilst working full time forced me to manage my time closely. It was also a fantastic course which married fundamental theories of cognition with past and present experiences of children and the systems and professionals who work with them - with a heavy emphasis on connecting students' own professional practises with the course content.
